Mrs. Fenk is an assistant Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at University of Salahaddin-Erbil, Kirkuk road, Erbil City, where she has been a faculty member since 2009. She obtained her BS in Architecture from Salahaddin university–Erbil. She continued her M.Sc. in in Sustainable Building and Environment at Newcastle University -United Kingdom. She has been awarded with a HCDP (Human Capacity Development Program) Scholarship to study master degree in the UK as she graduated ranking first on the department during her bachelor degree. Her research interests include Sustainable Architecture, Environmental Design in Architectuare, Building Technologies and Physics, Building Performance Simulation, Heritage building and Historical retrofits . Considering architectural design within a broad social, environmental and economic context. Her researches mainly focused on interactions between the built environment, the natural environment, and political economy in Kurdistan region. Hence she is now exploring traditional techniques and elements on new projects as cooling system and then evaluate its performance via Green BIM tools. Currently she teaches Architectural design studio (First stage) and Environment (Fourth stage).a
