History
In1985-1989 the college was initially established as a result of the ministry decision and was consisted of one department which was the department of law.
Moreover the college was first made of four lecturers including the dean and the assistant of the dean as below:
Dr. abdulrahman rahim Abdulla: the dean of the college; zhar abdulkarem abdulwahab; the assistant of the dean; jabber sabre Taha; and saeid jabaar Hassan.
1985
The college of law 1985-1992, which was consisted of one department.
1992
The college of law and politics 1992-2004, that was after the establishment of the political department in the year 1992.
2004
After distinguishing the department of law and political science in 2004-2007 the name of the college changed to the college of law and the college of political science in 2004.
2007
The college of law and politics 2007, that was due to the ministry decision of higher education in Kurdistan region no: n-310 on 28.8.2007, the decision was to cancel the college of the political science once again and changed to the college of law and politics that contained two departments, the law and politics.
1994
The evening section was established first in 1992-1993 under the name of the college of rights. later and as a result of decision of the higher education board no:9 on 1994 joined the university of Salahaddin-Erbil.
2003
In addition, in 2003 the evening section of the political science was found.
2008
Besides, in 2008-2009 all the evening departments of the university of Salahaddin was separated to a new college and continued to act and started its teaching in 2009-2010.
2011
In 2011 the college of evening education canceled and the evening departments of law and politics returned to the college of law and political science.
2016
In 2016 the college started the parallel study.
2018
In 2018 the department of political science separated from the college and established new college under the name college of political science.
2019
In 2019 the name of the college changed to the college of law which consist of one department is department of law.
