The event was held on 4th February 2025 at the Forestry Department, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Salahaddin University – Erbil. The seminar was and highlighted the critical functions forests perform in sequestering carbon, regulating climate, conserving biodiversity, and supporting sustainable ecosystems.

The seminar aimed to raise awareness about forest conservation and management as vital strategies for mitigating the impacts of global climate change. Key discussions revolved around innovative approaches to forest restoration, the importance of policy integration, and the role of academic institutions in fostering sustainable environmental practices.
