A presentation was given by (Dr Rashwan Ramadan) at English Department of College of Education on Monday, 6 February 2023. The seminar was a detailed account of the globally recognized Appen toolkit which is a portal for linguists and educators to connect with peers worldwide. Following the seminar, the audience’s questions were answered by the presenter.

Awarding English Department Teachers Certificates of Appreciation

A weekly presentation was given by (Asst. Lecturer Muhammad Abdulwahab Aziz) on Monday 13^th of Feb, 2023 at English Department for the teaching staff on (English Department Curriculum Reform).

Stake holders from the concerned Ministries of both Ministry of Education and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in partnership with the British Council in Iraq have been investigating the current level of English language proficiency of school students and the underlying factors affecting this status. One of the factors affecting English education in the country/region is the curriculum of English Language teaching departments, of which English Dept. of College of Education at SUE is an example. To this end, a collaborative attempt has launched to reform the English departments’ curriculum in hopes of enhancing English proficiency status in the region/country.

13^th International Conference on Educational Studies and Applied Linguistics

A number of English Department faculty members participated in the 13^th VESAL annual conference as research presenters, organizing committee members, session chairs and attendees on  February 20th-21st, 2023. This conference is jointly and annually held between Salahaddin University Erbil/ College of Education and Faculty of Education of Tishk International University.
